BNN5Na
BNN5Na is a guanylate cyclase activator and vasorelaxant inducer. BNN5Na undergoes photolytic uncaging to release nitric oxide. BNN5Na remains stable in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer at 37°C for over 1 day in the dark and does not react noticeably with cysteine under these conditions. BNN5Na is water-soluble but membrane-impermeant, remaining in extracellular aqueous compartments. BNN5Na shows no cytotoxicity toward rat aortic strip contractile apparatus.

Activité biologique
BNN5Na remains stable for more than 1 day in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4 and 37°C in the dark, and shows no obvious reaction with cysteine under these conditions[1].
BNN5Na undergoes rapid two-phase photolytic NO release in aqueous buffer at 37 °C, with τuc1 <10 ns and τuc2=19 μs[1].
