Description

Roridin L2 is an inhibitor of the peptidyl transferase center of the 60S ribosomal subunit. Roridin L2 irreversibly binds to this center and inhibits protein biosynthesis^[1]^[2].

In Vitro

Roridin L2 (0-50 μM; 24 h) decreases viability of NuLi-1 cells and THP-1 macrophages with an IC₅₀ in the lower μM range^[2].
Roridin L2 (up to 1000 ng/mL; 48 h) is non-cytotoxic and does not induce apoptosis or DNA fragmentation in PC-12 neuronal cells^[1].
