CHIKV-IN-6 is a selective CHIKV inhibitor with no cytotoxicity to mammalian cells. CHIKV-IN-6 inhibits CHIKV replication and exhibits little to no activity against other Togaviridae family members. CHIKV-IN-6 can be used for the research of chikungunya virus infection.

Biological Activity
CHIKV-IN-6 (compound 15b) (7 days post-infection) potently inhibits CHIKV (strain 899) replication in Vero cells with an EC50 of 3 μM and shows no cytotoxicity up to 668 μM[1].
CHIKV-IN-6 (2 days post-infection) potently inhibits replication of multiple CHIKV laboratory strains and clinical isolates in Vero E6 cells, with EC50 values ranging from 0.75 μM to 2.9 μM, and shows no cytotoxicity up to 300 μM[1].
CHIKV-IN-6 (7 days post-infection) shows only marginal antiviral activity against Sindbis virus (HRsp strain) and Semliki Forest virus in Vero cells, with EC50 values of 69 μM and 219 μM, respectively[1].
