Result:Excreted approximately 85% of the dosed clofexamide in urine within 24 hours, with 36% as unchanged clofexamide, 20% as 2-(p-chlorophenoxy)-N-(2-ethylaminoethyl) acetamide, 7% as 2-(p-chlorophenoxy)-N-(2-aminoethyl) acetamide, 7% as 2-(4-chloro-2-hydroxyphenoxy)-N-(2-diethylaminoethyl) acetamide, 15% as p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, plus minor amounts of 2-(p-chlorophenoxy)-N-(2-diethylaminoethyl) acetamide N-oxide and p-chlorophenoxyaceturic acid.
Detected additional urinary metabolites including 2-(4-chloro-3-hydroxyphenoxy)-N-(2-diethylaminoethyl) acetamide, 2-(4-chloro-3-hydroxyphenoxy)-N-(2-ethylaminoethyl) acetamide, 2-(4-chloro-2-hydroxyphenoxy)-N-(2-ethylaminoethyl) acetamide.
Detected only unchanged clofexamide in feces.
