Description

Croomine is a tuberostemospironine-type alkaloid. Croomine can be found in Stemona tuberosa, Croomia heterosepala, and Croomia japonica[1].

In Vitro

Croomine (compound 2) (95% ethanol, 4% HCl, 35% aqueous NH3, hexane:EtOAc (1:1); 2 h ethanol reflux, repeated 2 times) is a naturally occurring tuberostemospironine-type alkaloid isolated from Stemona tuberosa, with a total isolated yield of 840 mg, a retention time of 9.26 min in HPLC-ELSD analysis, and fully assigned NMR spectroscopic data in deuteropyridine solvent[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
