Sonchuside A ((+)-Sonchuside A) is a sesquiterpene lactone found in the roots of Taraxacum obovatum and Taraxacum bicorne. Terpenes are the most numerous and structurally diverse natural products found in many plants. In vitro, preclinical, and clinical studies have demonstrated that terpenes exhibit broad and important pharmacological properties in the treatment of cancer, malaria, inflammation, and various infectious diseases.
