DKI5 (0.01-100 μM) inhibits soybean lipoxygenase (LOX-1) with an IC50 of 22.5 μM in the sodium linoleate conversion assay[1].
DKI5 (100 μM) inhibits AAPH-induced lipid peroxidation in the sodium linoleate assay by 94%[1].

Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent, non-apoptotic form of regulated cell death characterized by lethal lipid peroxidation and sensitivity to suppression by iron chelators or lipophilic radical-trapping antioxidants.
