Biological Activity
N-Oleyl-sphingomyelin vesicles show higher affinity for cholesterol than POPC vesicles, and can form a liquid-ordered phase at lower cholesterol concentrations; their mixed vesicles with N-palmitoyl-sphingomyelin exhibit only a single phase transition, with asymmetric differences in the miscibility of components between the two phases[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
