DPPD (0.001-1 mg/mL; 0.1 mg/mL with rat liver S9 mix) interferes with bilirubin measurements via the diazo method in male rat serum in a concentration-dependent manner, and this interference is not eliminated by rat liver S9 metabolism[1].

DPPD (8-300 mg/kg bw/day; p.o.; daily; 42 days (males); 42-46 days (females)) significantly prolongs gestation length at doses of 50 and 300 mg/kg bw/day in female [Crl:CD(SD)] SPF rats, with the reproductive/developmental NOAEL established at 8 mg/kg bw/day[1].

Showed non-significant dose-dependent decrease in number of pups born, delivery index, number of live pups, birth index, live birth index (day 0 of lactation), number of live pups, and viability index (day 4 of lactation), most marked at 300 mg/kg bw/day.
Showed no effects in male fertility, estrous cycle length, implantation indices, pup body weights, or pup malformations.
