C3.15
C3.15 is a gallium-binding agent and a weak arsenic-binding agent. C3.15 is also a gallium-binding phage clone with the peptide sequence NYPLHQSSSPSR. The binding capacity of C3.15 for gallium (III) ions is significantly higher at pH 8.5 than at pH 3.2, and its arsenic binding amount remains extremely low at both pH values. Compared with wild-type phage, the arsenic biosorption capacity of C3.15 is greatly reduced at pH 8.5.

Biological Activity
Bacteriophage clone C3.15 (2.7-2.8 mM Ga3+; 2.6-3.1 mM As3+; 1.2-1.5 mM Ga3+ + 1.3-1.4 mM As3+; 16-18 h) selectively binds gallium over arsenic, with 2.21-fold higher gallium biosorption than wild-type at pH 8.5 and minimal arsenic binding (0.27-fold higher than wild-type) at the same pH[1].
