DAB-1

DAB-1 is an α-glucosidase and β-glucosidase inhibitor. DAB-1 also inhibits α-mannosidase, with an IC₅₀ of 49 μM against Jack bean α-mannosidase. DAB-1 exhibits IC₅₀ values of 7.8 μM and 0.69 μM against rice and Saccharomyces cerevisiae α-glucosidase, respectively, while its IC₅₀ values were 79 μM and 62 μM against almond and Aspergillus niger β-glucosidase, respectively. DAB-1 can be used in research related to metabolic diseases.

In Vitro

DAB-1 (1 mM; pre-incubation for 5 minutes; reaction for 10-15 minutes) shows weak inhibition against Aspergillus orizae β-galactosidase, Aspergillus niger α-rhamnosidase, green coffee bean α-galactosidase, and jack bean β-N-acetylglucosaminidase^[1].
