DBNBS
DBNBS is a radical scavenger. DBNBS undergoes non-radical nucleophilic addition to bind directly to cysteine (e.g., Cys-34 of BSA) to form a hydroxylamine, which is subsequently oxidized to produce an artifact spin adduct signal. DBNBS can be used for detecting biological free radicals.

生物活性
DBNBS (2.5-5 mM; overnight) forms an artificial artifact nitroxide adduct with the Cys-34 thiol residue of BSA via non-radical nucleophilic addition followed by oxidation, whereas its tertiary carbon-centered radical adduct formed with photochemically oxidized BSA arises from genuine spin trapping[1].
DBNBS (2.5 mM; 1 min-2 h) rapidly and completely depletes the free Cys-34 thiol content of bovine serum albumin, with nearly complete depletion observable within 1 minute of incubation[1].
DBNBS (3.7 μM; 1 min-2 h) quenches the tryptophan fluorescence in bovine serum albumin through binding rather than chemical reactions, and exerts no effect on the fluorescence of free tryptophan under the tested conditions[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
