MM0299 (96 h) potently inhibits the proliferation of glioma stem-like cells from Mut6 mice, with an IC50 value of 0.0182 μM[1].
MM0299 (0.1 μM) inhibits lanosterol synthase activity in glioma stem-like cells from Mut6 mice, leading to a dose-dependent decrease in intermediates of the canonical cholesterol pathway (lanosterol IC50 = 0.0455 μM)[1].
MM0299 alters gene expression, upregulating LXR target genes and downregulating SREBP target genes, which reflects the activation of the cholesterol efflux pathway and the inhibition of the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway in glioma stem-like cells from Mut6 mice[1].
MM0299 (120 h) inhibits the proliferation of UTSW63 and UTSW71 human glioma stem-like cells, with IC50 values of 0.0222 μM and 0.0212 μM, respectively[1].
