Antitubercular agent-59 is an orally active antitubercular agent with an IC₅₀ of 51 nM against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv. Antitubercular agent-59 inhibits growth of Bedaquiline (HY-14881)-resistant Rv0678^G12C mutant strains. Antitubercular agent-59 exerts bactericidal activity in chronic tuberculosis mouse models with 1-Aminobenzotriazole (HY-103389) coadministration.

Antitubercular agent-59 (Compound 6k) potently inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv whole cells with an IC₅₀ of 213 nM^[1].
Antitubercular agent-59 shows moderate metabolic clearance in rat hepatocytes and human liver microsomes^[1].

Antitubercular agent-59 (Compound 6k) (100 mg/kg; i.g.; daily 5 days per week; 4 weeks) exhibits bactericidal activity coadministered with 1-Aminobenzotriazole (HY-103389) in chronic mouse infection model of TB^[1].
