Ceparoside C is a steroidal saponin found in the seeds of Allium cepa L. Ceparoside C contains a furostanol aglycone (3β,26-dihydroxyfurosta-5,20(22)-diene) and a galactose sugar unit.^[1]

In Vitro

Ceparoside C (compound 1) undergoes acid hydrolysis to produce L-rhamnose, D-galactose and D-glucose at a molar ratio of 1:1:2^[1].
