Glenthmycin A (Compound 1) (0.01-30 μM; 16-24 h) inhibits the growth of S. aureus ATCC 25923 (IC₅₀ 6.4 μM), E. faecalis (IC₅₀ 5.7 μM), MRSA ATCC 43300 (IC₅₀ 4.4 μM), MRSA ATCC 33591 (IC₅₀ 1.9 μM), and VRE (IC₅₀ 5.2 μM)^[1].
Glenthmycin A (30 μM; 48 h) does not exhibit significant cytotoxicity against human colorectal carcinoma (SW620) or human lung carcinoma (NCI-H460) cells, with IC₅₀ > 30 μM^[1].
