In Vitro

HS024 TFA is a selective MC4 receptor antagonist with a K_i of 0.29 nM in COS-1 cells expressing the human MC4 receptor^[1].
HS024 TFA blocks intracellular cAMP accumulation triggered by α-MSH (HY-P0252) in COS-1 cells expressing human MC1, MC3, MC4, and MC5 receptors^[1].

In Vivo

HS024 (0.1-1.0 nmol; i.c.v.; single injection on each test day; repeated every three days) TFA induces a dose-dependent increase in food intake in free-feeding Wistar rats^[1].
HS024 (0.02-0.1 nmol; i.c.v.; single injection 20 min before testing) TFA does not alter exploratory/locomotor activity in the elevated plus maze or open field^[1].
