Jinflexin A

Jinflexin A is a phenanthrene compound that can be extracted and isolated from the roots of the plant Juncus inflexus, and it is also a potential antibacterial agent. Jinflexin A significantly inhibits the proliferation of various human tumor cell lines, with a IC50 range of 12.9 μM to 24.7 μM. Jinflexin A can be used in research related to Methicillin (HY-121544)-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections, breast cancer, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer.

Jinflexin A (0.1953125-100 μM; 72 h) inhibits proliferation of HeLa, HTB-26, T-47D, A2780, A2780cis, MCF-7, KCR human cancer cell lines and MRC-5 normal human fibroblasts, with the strongest activity against MCF-7 cells (IC50 = 12.9 μM) and T-47D cells (IC50 = 14.2 μM)[2].
Jinflexin A (10 mg/mL; 24 h) shows no antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC43300) in the disk-diffusion assay[2].
