LY214352
LY214352 is an antifungal agent that targets dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHO-DH). LY214352 exhibits antifungal activity against Aspergillus nidulans and agriculturally important ascomycete fungi. LY214352 can be used in studies related to grape gray mold, apple scab, and fungal infections caused by ascomycetes.

Biological Activity
LY214352 (0.001-1000 μg/mL) potently inhibits dihydroorotate dehydrogenase from the sensitive strain A610 of Aspergillus nidulans, with an IC50 of 0.04 μg/mL; in contrast, the IC50 of this enzyme derived from the highly drug-resistant mutant strain 52-4 is > 100 μg/mL[1].
LY214352 (72-96 h) inhibits the growth of the susceptible strain A610 of Aspergillus nidulans, with an IC50 of 0.13 μg/mL; in contrast, the IC50 of moderately resistant mutants is approximately 2.5 μg/mL, and that of highly resistant mutants is > 30 μg/mL[1].
LY214352 potently and selectively inhibits the growth of Aspergillus nidulans by targeting its DHODH enzyme. It exhibits an MIC of <2 μg/mL against A. nidulans and an IC50 of 0.04 μg/mL against A. nidulans DHODH, while showing no activity against non-target bacteria and fungi[2].
