Metproxybicyclone
Metproxybicyclone is a graminaceous herbicide. Metproxybicyclone also acts as an ACCase inhibitor, with an IC50 of 0.19 μM against Lolium multiflorum. Metproxybicyclone inhibits eukaryotic homomeric acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which catalyzes the first key step in fatty acid biosynthesis of graminaceous plants. Metproxybicyclone controls susceptible graminaceous weeds as well as graminaceous weed populations with target-site, non-target-site, and ACCaseD2078G target-site resistance mechanisms. Metproxybicyclone is safe to dicotyledonous crops and is suitable for pre-plant burndown applications.

Metproxybicyclone (30-250 g ai/ha; foliar spray; 3-leaf stage; assessment after 14 days) causes 0% to 5% injury to soybean at rates of 30 g ai/ha and 250 g ai/ha, respectively. At 30 g ai/ha, it provides 99-100% control of Brachiaria plantaginea, E. indica, D. insularis, E. crus-galli, Setaria faberi, and volunteer corn, but exhibits weak activity against three broadleaf weed species[1].
