MiZax3
MiZax3 is a zaxinone mimic and plant growth regulator (PGR). MiZax3 inhibits the biosynthesis and release of strigolactone (SL), thereby promoting plant growth. MiZax3 promotes rice root growth and tillering, reduces Striga hermonthica emergence, and improves growth and yield-related traits in various crops. MiZax3 is used in plant growth research.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
MiZax3 acts as a zaxinone mimic that promotes root growth in zaxinone-deficient rice mutants and reduces strigolactone accumulation in wild-type rice[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
In Vivo
Root exudates obtained after treating rice with MiZax3 (5 μM) reduce the germination rate of Striga hermonthica seeds[2].
MiZax3 (2.5 μM; 21 d) promotes root length and crown root number in hydroponically grown wild-type Nipponbare rice and restores the root length, crown root number, and root biomass phenotypes of the zas mutant[2].
MiZax3 (2.5 μM; 14 d) increases the tiller number of Nipponbare and the high-SL-producing variety IAC-165 rice[2].
MiZax3 (5 μM, 50 nM; twice weekly from 10 dpi; evaluated at 35 dpi) does not alter intraradical fungal structures, mycorrhizal colonization frequency, colonization intensity, or arbuscule abundance in Funneliformis mosseae-inoculated wild-type rice[2].
MiZax3 (10 μM; foliar spray once weekly × 7) increases the number of runners in greenhouse-grown strawberry cv. Festival[3].
