In Vitro

MMV675968 selectively inhibits A. baumannii DHFR but not human DHFR, with an IC50 of 8.5 nM against A. baumannii DHFR and an IC50 of 492.4 nM against human DHFR[1].
MMV675968 (0.6-10 μM; 18 h) inhibits the growth of Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) strains Mahidol, Naval-81, H72721 and 3-137, with IC50 values of 0.6-2.7 μM, IC90 values of 0.7-3.9 μM, and MIC values of 1.6-10 μM[1].
MMV675968 (10 μM; 18 h) inhibits the growth of E. coli PA414 surrogate cells expressing A. baumannii DHFR, but exerts no such effect on these cells expressing human DHFR[1].
MMV675968 (10 μM; 90 min) inhibits endogenous DHFR activity in Acinetobacter baumannii strains Mahidol, Naval-81, H72721, and 3-137[1].
