NRh-Cu
NRh-Cu is a highly sensitive near-infrared fluorescence turn-on indicator and Cu2+-selective probe (λex=680 nm, λem=740 nm). When NRh-Cu interacts with Cu2+, it undergoes a structural transition from a non-fluorescent spirocyclic state to a fluorescent ring-opened state, which drives the enhancement of fluorescence emission. NRh-Cu can be used for Cu2+ imaging in live cells and in vivo.

Biological Activity
NRh-Cu (10 μM) exhibits high selectivity for Cu2+ over a wide range of other metal ions in ethanol/H2O solution, with a rapid fluorescence turn-on response reaching maximum intensity within 10 min; with a fluorescence-based detection limit of 0.95 ppb and absorption-based detection limit of 6.2 ppb[1].
NRh-Cu (2-80 μM; 48 h) shows no significant cytotoxicity toward HeLa cells[1].
NRh-Cu (10 μM; 1 h) exhibits good membrane permeability in HeLa cells and generates strong fluorescence in the presence of intracellular Cu2+[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
