Oxidized low density lipoprotein (mouse)
Based on 4 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Oxidized low density lipoprotein (mouse) (Mouse ox-LDL) is an oxidized low density lipoprotein (LDL). Oxidized low density lipoprotein (mouse) induces atherosclerosis (AS) by facilitating endothelial dysfunction and accelerating the VSMCs growth and migration. Oxidized low density lipoprotein (mouse) can be used to construct an in vitro model of AS.

Biological Activity
Oxidized low density lipoprotein (mouse) (25-75 μg/mL, 24 h) dose-dependently upregulates the mRNA and protein expressions of long noncoding RNA TUG1 and receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2 (ROR2); meanwhile, it promotes the proliferation of HA-VSMCs (upregulates the protein levels of CyclinD1 and Ki-67), enhances migration and invasion abilities, and increases the expressions of metastasis-related proteins β-catenin and Vimentin in human aortic vascular smooth muscle cells[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

THP-1-derived macrophage cells were incubated with CG (0, 1, 3, 10, 30, and 100 μM) for 24 h, prior to being stimulated with Oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) (50 μg/mL) for 24 h. Then, the cell viability was detected using CCK-8 assay.

The effect of CG on ox-LDL-induced inflammation in THP-1-derived macrophage. THP-1-derived macrophage were incubated with CG for 24 h, prior to being stimulated with Oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL, 100 ng/mL) for 24 h. The production of inflammatory cytokines, including IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-10, was assayed by ELISA kits.

The effect of CG on ox-LDL-induced foam cell formation in THP-1-derived macrophages. THP-1-derived macrophages were incubated with CG for 24 h, prior to being stimulated with Oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL, 100 ng/mL) for 24 h. The total cholesterol (TC) and free cholesterol (FC) were detected using their corresponding commercial kits, respectively.

Cellular cholesterol efflux was measured by counting cell-associated [3H]-cholesterol using liquid scintillation counting method.
