Description

PEG-8 laurate is a single chain surfactant. PEG-8 laurate reduces the skin barrier, and acts as a penetration enhancer. PEG-8 laurate can be used to synthesize elastic vesicles^[1]^[2].

In Vivo

Pretreatment of the hairless mouse skin with the elastic vesicles containing 70 mol% PEG-8 laurate increases the diffusion of ³H₂O^[1].
