Biological Activity
Photoclick cholesterol (10-25 μM; 30 min dark incubation, 10 min UV irradiation) binds directly and competitively to native 18 kDa TSPO in mitochondria-enriched fractions from MA-10 mouse tumour Leydig cells, with increased labelling at 25 μM compared to 10 μM, and reduced labelling in the presence of 20- or 65-fold molar excess cholesterol[1].
