Polystyrene sulfonic acid (30% in water) is a potentially toxic hazardous substance. Polystyrene-derived microplastics (PS-MPs) are harmful to zebrafish hearts and induce male reproductive toxicity in mice. MCE offers Polystyrene products in solution packaging^[1][2].

Polystyrene sulfonic acid-derived microplastics (PS-MPs) at 0.5 μm, 4 μm, and 10 μm particle sizes can enter three testicular cell lines (GC-1 cell line) in vitro. PS-MPs lead to decreased sperm quality and testosterone levels in mice^[2].
