Sauvagine TFA is a corticotropin-releasing factor receptor (CRFR) agonist. Sauvagine TFA activates HM-CRF receptors to stimulate intracellular cAMP accumulation, activates PC-CRF receptors to trigger associated signaling pathways, and stimulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. Sauvagine TFA can be used for research on central nervous system and blood diseases.

In Vitro
Sauvagine (0.001-1000 nM; 20 min) TFA potently stimulates intracellular cAMP accumulation in HM-CRF receptor-transfected CV-1 and 293-EBNA cells with an EC50 of ~0.1 nM[1].
Sauvagine (0.001-100 nM; 20 min) TFA stimulates intracellular cAMP accumulation in PC-CRF receptor-transfected CV-1 and 293-EBNA cells with an EC50 of ~0.3 nM[1].

In Vivo
Sauvagine (i.v.; single dose) TFA increases superior mesenteric artery flow and plasma glucose, and decrease mean arterial pressure in conscious dogs[2].
