SB5-171 is a covalent PfCLK3 inhibitor with IC50 values of 10-12 nM. SB5-171shows antiparasitic activity. SB5-171 can be used for the research of malaria[1].

In Vitro

SB5-171 (Compound 14) potently inhibits recombinant full-length PfCLK3 with apparent IC50 values of 10 nM at Km ATP and 12 nM at 3 mM ATP[1].
SB5-171 (100 pM-100 μM; 72 h) potently inhibits asexual blood stage growth of P. falciparum 3D7 (EC50 = 104 nM) and chloroquine-resistant Dd2 (EC50 = 267 nM) strains[1].
SB5-171 (24-48 h) has low cytotoxicity, with a CC50 of >100 μM in HepG2 cells and 25 μM in THP-1 cells[1].
