2-Hydrazinyl-3-methylbutanoic acid is a diamine oxidase (DAO) inhibitor. 2-Hydrazinyl-3-methylbutanoic acid acts as a non-competitive inhibitor of diamine oxidase (with histamine as the substrate), achieving an inhibition rate of up to 76%.
