N1-methyl-pseudouridine (1-Methylpseudouridine), a methylpseudouridine, outperforms 5 mC and 5 mC/N1-methyl-pseudouridine in translation. N1-methyl-pseudouridine in mRNA enhances translation through eIF2α-dependent and independent mechanisms by increasing ribosome density .

Synucleozid hydrochloride (NSC 377363 hydrochloride) is a potent inhibitor of the?SNCA?mRNA?that encodes α-synuclein protein. Synucleozid selectively?targets the?α-synuclein?mRNA 5′ UTR at the designed IRE site, decreases the amount of?SNCA?mRNA loaded into polysomes and thereby inhibits?SNCA?translation. Synucleozid has the potential for the investigation of Parkinson’s disease .

MM927 is a potent NVL inhibitor, with an IC50 of 0.053 μM. MM927 blocks 60S ribosomal subunit biogenesis in the nucleolus. MM927 induces half-mer polysomes, cell cycle arrest at G1/S and G2/M and apoptosis in cells. MM927 demonstrates antitumor efficacy in MOLM-13 AML and HCT116 CRC xenograft models. MM927 can be used for the study of cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and colorectal cancer (CRC) .

AHR-1911 (10-Undecen-1-yl-Thiopseudourea Iodide;Isothiuronium) is a thiourea-based anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor agent that has an improving effect on burned skin. AHR-1911 produces histamine-like effects when injected intradermally and may reduce arterial pressure in anesthetized dogs. AHR-1911 inhibits tumor growth and reduces microsomal and C-polysome protein synthesis .

Tubulosine is an alkaloid. Tubulosine can be isolated from Pogonopus tubulosus (DC.) Schumann. Tubulosine is an ATP-competitive, selective JAK3 inhibitor with an IC50 value of 9.9 nM. Tubulosine also inhibits the kinase activities of other JAK family members, the extent of inhibition is less than that of JAK3, with IC50 values of 69.5, 84.9 and 76.3 nM for JAK1, JAK2 and TYK2, respectively. Tubulosine selectively inhibits JAK3 signalling by binding to the ATP-binding site of the kinase of JAK3. Tubulosine induces apoptotic and necrotic/autophagic cell death. Tubulosine inhibits the process of peptide chain elongation by eukaryotic polysomes by, specifically preventing the elongation-factor-2-dependent step of translocation. Tubulosine exhibits anticancer activity in breast cancer cells .
