Shearinine B
Shearinine B ((+)-Shearinine B) is an indole-diterpenoid alkaloid that can be found in the marine-derived fungus Penicillium janthinellum Biourge and Eupenicillium shearii. Shearinine B causes mortality in fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda and reduces growth rate of Helicoverpa zea larvae.

Biological Activity
Shearinine B (100 ppm) causes a 94% reduction in growth rate of Helicoverpa zea larvae[2].
Shearinine B (100 ppm) causes a 50% reduction in feeding rate of Carpophilus hemipterus larvae[2].
Shearinine B (50 μg per 75-mg cotton leaf disk; topical application to leaf disk) causes 84% mortality and 85% reduction in leaf damage in Spodoptera frugiperda larvae[2].
