Description

Wy 45086 is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist. Wy 45086 blocks the H2 receptor signaling pathway and inhibits gastric acid secretion in experimental animals. Wy 45086 can be used in ulcer-related research[1].

In Vivo

Wy 45086 exerts significant inhibitory effects on gastric acid secretion in pylorus-ligated rats and dogs with innervated gastric pouches, with a ED50 of 1 mg/kg in both species[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
