Description

10-Hydroxycroomine is a croomine-type alkaloid. 10-Hydroxycroomine can be isolated from the roots of Stemona tuberosa. 10-Hydroxycroomine produces a non-statistically significant reduction in Citric acid (HY-N1428)-induced coughing. 10-Hydroxycroomine can be used for the research of cough[1].

In Vivo

10-Hydroxycroomine (0.25 μmol; icv) produces a non-statistically significant 15-33% reduction in citric acid-induced coughing in Dunkin-Hartley guinea pigs[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Dunkin-Hartley[1]
Dosage: 0.25 μmol
Administration: intracerebroventricular; single dose
Result: Decreased citric acid-induced coughing by 15-33%, but this inhibition was not statistically significant (P > 0.05).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
