This product is intended for research and analytical applications. 5-Ethynyluridine (5-EU) is a potent cell-permeable nucleoside can be used to label newly synthesized RNA. 5-Ethynyluridine can be used for isolation and sequencing of nascent RNA from neuronal populations in vivo. 5-Ethynyluridine can be used to identify changes in transcription in vivo in nervous system disease models. 5-Ethynyluridine is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
