AC 187 TFA blocks amyloid β-induced neurotoxicity by attenuating the activation of initiator and effector caspases in vitro. AC 187 TFA increases glucagon secretion, accelerates gastric emptying, alters plasma glucose levels and increases food intake in vivo.
