In Vitro

Antimycobacterial agent-16 (Compound 23) potently inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv and Mycobacterium kansasii, with MIC values of 3.13 μg/mL and 12.5 μg/mL, respectively[1].
Antimycobacterial agent-16 exhibits low cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells (IC50 = 238.3 μM), with a favorable selectivity index of 25.7 against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
