Arjungenin
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Arjungenin, a pentacyclic triterpenoid compound, is a FXR agonist. Arjungenin can improve insulin sensitivity by regulating the function of fat cells. Arjungenin exhibits moderate free radical scavenging activity. Arjungenin has growth inhibitory activity against the insect Spilarctia obliqua. Arjungenin has significant antiviral activity against a series of viruses such as chikungunya Virus (CHIKV).

Biological Activity
Arjungenin (100-500 μg/g diet, 72 h) exhibits FD50 (50% refusal concentration) and GI50 (50% growth inhibition concentration) of 287.1 μg/g diet and 188.5 μg/g diet against Spilarctia obliqua[1].
Arjungenin exhibits moderate free radical scavenging activity with an IC50 value of 290.6 μg/mL and exhibits inhibitory activity against the production of hypochlorous acid[2].
Arjungenin (50 μM, 8 d) significantly promotes adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells by activating the FXR signaling pathway, stimulates the secretion of adiponectin and leptin by adipocytes, and improves insulin sensitivity and energy metabolism[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Select the appropriate dissolution method based on your experimental animal and administration route.
- For the following dissolution methods, please ensure to first prepare a clear stock solution using an In Vitro approach and then sequentially add co-solvents:
- To ensure reliable experimental results, the clarified stock solution can be appropriately stored based on storage conditions. As for the working solution for In Vivo experiments, it is recommended to prepare freshly and use it on the same day.
- The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.
