2-5A (2′,5′-ApApA) pentasodium solution 100 mM is a high-affinity (K_a=0.04 nM) RNase L binder. 2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM activates the nuclease activity of latent RNase L to cleave single-stranded RNA by inducing conformational changes and dimerization of latent RNase L, thereby mediating critical antiviral responses and enhancing interferon effects. 2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM not only effectively inhibits Rauscher murine leukemia virus replication, reduces viremia and splenomegaly, but also enhances antileukemic efficacy when combined with amphotericin B and exhibits favorable high-dose tolerance. 2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM is an important tool molecule for investigating the pathological mechanisms of viral infection, hereditary prostate cancer and leukemia.

2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM specifically binds to ankyrin repeat domains 2 and 4 of RNase L (K_0.5=40 pM), induces its dimerization, and activates the RNA cleavage function of RNase L^[1].
Endogenously produced 2-5A activates RNase L in interferon-treated mouse L fibroblasts infected with encephalomyocarditis virus, thereby inducing ribosomal RNA cleavage^[1].
2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM activates RNase L and induces the expression of the MIC-1 gene in mammalian cells via JNK- and ERK-dependent pathways^[1].
2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM activates RNase L and induces caspase-dependent apoptosis in mammalian cells via the JNK-mediated pathway^[1].

2-5A pentasodium solution 100 mM (endogenously produced trimeric form p₃(A2'p)₂A; endogenously generated via IFN-induced 2-5A synthetase in response to viral dsRNA) activates RNase L to mediate potent antiviral activity against multiple viral pathogens, induce apoptosis, and trigger antiviral gene transcription in mice^[1].
Synthetic (2’-5’)ApApA (100 μg-1 mg/mouse; i.p.; daily for 5 days or 15 total doses) exhibits dose-dependent antileukaemic activity (up to 26% splenomegaly inhibition) and potent antiviral activity (72% viraemia suppression, >95% RMLV replication inhibition) in RMLV-infected BALB/c male mice^[2].

Animal Model:

BALB/c (male, RMLV-induced leukaemia)^[2]
Dosage:

100 μg/mouse (15 doses + Amphotericin B);
0.5 mg/mouse (5 doses + Amphotericin B);

Administration:
