mcIRBP-9 (1-10 μmol kg^?1; p.o.; once daily or single dose; 12 consecutive weeks or short-term) improves glucose clearance in a dose-dependent manner, reduces long-term blood glucose and HbA1c levels, improves survival rate to 100%, and ameliorates diabetic nephropathy in db/db mice via anti-inflammatory and reno-protective effects^[1].
mcIRBP-9 (1 μmol kg^?1; p.o.; single dose given after LPS challenge) suppresses LPS-induced renal NF-κB activity and systemic IL-1β production in NF-κB transgenic mice, demonstrating anti-inflammatory activity relevant to nephropathy^[1].
