Animal Model:CF-1 mice aged 3 weeks old (12-14 g) underwent corneal kindling (electrical stimulation to induce chronic seizures) or sham kindling (handling without stimulation)[1]

Administration:Intraperitoneal (i.p.) or oral (p.o.) administration, twice weekly for 6 weeks

Result:Led to widespread accumulation of foam-laden macrophages in multiple tissues (kidney, liver, mesentery, aorta, choroid plexus) with associated inflammation and occasional tissue damage in both kindled and sham mice by i.p..
Caused no histologic lesions by p.o..
Had no significant effects on body weight, seizure stability, behavioral assessments (open field test), hematology, or serum biochemistry parameters.
