In Vitro

Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs).
1. Preparation of working solution
Dilute to 1-10 μM with PBS or serum-free cell culture medium (optimized according to the experiment).
Note: The working solution should be prepared and used immediately. Keep it away from light.
2. Cell staining
2.1 Disperse and suspend cells in 100 μL PBS in a 96-well plate at a density of 2×105/mL.
2.2 Add ATP-Red 1 at a final concentration of 1-10 μM.
2.3 Incubate cells at room temperature or 37°C for 15 minutes (or up to 30 minutes for live cell imaging).
2.4 Remove ATP-Red 1 working solution.
2.5 Analyze with a fluorescence microscope (Ex/Em = 510/590 nm).

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
