MB-07803 is an orally active fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (FBP1) inhibitor and a derivative of CS-917 (HY-14955). MB-07803 inhibits the rate-limiting enzyme in gluconeogenesis. MB07803 is converted as a prodrug to the active metabolite MB07729. MB-07803 controls blood glucose and is used in research on type 2 diabetes.
