1. Metabolic Enzyme/Protease Apoptosis
  2. Phospholipase Apoptosis
  3. C10 Bisphosphonate

C10 Bisphosphonate is an acid sphingomyelinase (aSMase) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.02 μM in rats. C10 Bisphosphonate inhibits Dexamethasone (HY-14648)-induced cell apoptosis (apoptosis) and alleviates platelet-activating factor (PAF)-induced pulmonary edema. C10 Bisphosphonate can be used for the research of pulmonary edema.

Description

C10 Bisphosphonate is an acid sphingomyelinase (aSMase) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.02 μM in rats. C10 Bisphosphonate inhibits Dexamethasone (HY-14648)-induced cell apoptosis (apoptosis) and alleviates platelet-activating factor (PAF)-induced pulmonary edema. C10 Bisphosphonate can be used for the research of pulmonary edema[1].

In Vitro

C10 Bisphosphonate (compound 7c) potently inhibits aSMase derived from crude rat brain extracts, with an IC50 of 0.02 μM[1].
C10 Bisphosphonate (0.1 μM; 7 h) effectively inhibits Dexamethasone (HY-14648)-induced apoptosis of HepG2 hepatocytes[1].
C10 Bisphosphonate (0.1-1 μM) reduces PAF-induced pulmonary edema in isolated perfused rats in a concentration-dependent manner[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
