(-)-Folicanthine (Compound 12) (72 h) exhibits cytotoxic activity against human gastric carcinoma NUGC3 cells, human hepatocarcinoma SNU739 cells, and human neuroblastoma SHSY-5Y cells, with IC₅₀ values of 13.3 ± 1.5 μM, 17.0 ± 2.8 μM, and 60.1 ± 3.5 μM respectively, and shows no significant cytotoxicity against human breast cancer MCF-7 cells (IC₅₀ >100 μM)^[1].
