ML226 is a potent inhibitor of α/β hydrolase domain protein 11 (ABHD11), with in vitro and in situ IC50 values of 15 and 0.68 nM, respectively. ML226 is an inhibitor of protein palmitoylthioesterase lysophospholipase 1 (LYPLA1) and LYPLA2. ML226 can be used for research related to neurological diseases.

Activité biologique
ML-226 exhibits 100 times greater selectivity for ABHD11 than approximately 20 other serine hydrolases, and can be covalently modified by carbamylation of serine residues at the active site of ABHD11[1].
ML-226 can be used as a reverse probe for ML-211 (HY-128035)[1].
