Carbenoxolone disodium is an uncoupling agent for gap junctions and a potent inhibitor of Vaccinia virus replication[2]. Carbenoxolone disodium is used for the study of peptic, esophageal and oral ulceration and inflammation. Carbenoxolone disodium inhibits Vaccinia virus replication.
