5-Nitroindole (25-100 μM; 0-4 h) decreases the adenylate energy charge of rat hepatocytes significantly by reducing ATP levels and increasing AMP levels[1].
5-Nitroindole (50-100 μM; 15-60 min) inhibits NADPH-dependent and t-BuOOH-dependent lipid peroxidation in liver microsomes, and NADH-initiated lipid peroxidation in mitochondria[1].
