F3 peptide acetate
Based on 1 Customer Validation
F3 peptide acetate is a nucleolin-binding tumor-homing peptide that mediates selective uptake and internalization by tumor cells. F3 peptide acetate is a 31-amino acid fragment of human high mobility group nucleosomal protein 2 (HMGN2). F3 peptide acetate inhibits protein synthesis through ribosome inactivation. F3 peptide acetate targets the tumor vasculature. F3 peptide acetate can serve as an effective ligand to improve the druggability of macromolecular drugs or nanoparticles. F3 peptide acetate is used in research on cancers such as glioblastoma and breast cancer.

Biologische Aktivität
Beschreibung
In Vitro
FITC-F3 peptide acetate (10 nM; 2 h) binds to the 231-H2N cell membrane, internalizes, and translocates to the nucleus and nucleolus, colocalizing with nucleolin[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only. Further protocols information, click here.

Cell Line:MDA-MB-231-H2N (231-H2N) human breast cancer cells
-
Concentration:10 nM
-
Incubation Time:2 h
-
Result:Showed membrane-bound and internalized fluorescence.
Observed in the nuclei, where it co-localized with nucleolin in the nucleoli.
Nuclear localization was approximately 33.6% of the total amount internalized.

Breast Cancer Modeling
Breast cancer is a heterogeneous cancer, and it has been distinguished into four subtypes: luminal A, luminal B, HER2-positive and basal-like. Molecular mutations, epigenetic alterations, hormone exposure and immune microenvironment are related to the progression of breast cancer.
