N-Caffeoyl serotonin exhibits weak inhibitory activity against BACE1, with an IC₅₀ > 400 μM. N-Caffeoyl serotonin has free radical scavenging activity. N-Caffeoyl serotonin can be used in the research of allergic diseases and Alzheimer's disease.
